Council Income and Raising a Precept

After agreeing its budget each January for the upcoming financial year, the Council demands an annual sum of money from Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council that is then collected with Council Tax payments.

The Parish Council receives some of its income through its precept, although other income can be generated through items such the rental income from allotments, permissive access for vehicles to the rear of Main Street and tenant farmland. Grants can also form a significant amount of income that are ringfenced for specific projects. The Council also receives a significant amount of income through VAT reclaims, bank interest and returns from financial investments.
